Meet the founder
Camille Goldsborough, Founder of The Prima Club
Hi, I’m Camille, and I created The Prima Club because I know firsthand how ballet can be both beautiful and brutal — a world filled with discipline, artistry, and self-expression, but also unrealistic expectations, comparison, and exclusivity.
As a professional ballet dancer and teacher, I’ve felt the magic of dancing — and the pressure to constantly “fit the mold.” To be perfect. To tie your worth to how “good” you are at ballet.
We make ourselves smaller to fit someone else’s idea of a ballerina, and somewhere along the way, we lose the joy and forget why we started.
I’ve also seen how adult dancers, late starters, and those dancing simply for the love of it often feel left out — like they don’t belong unless they’ve been dancing since childhood and making ballet their whole lives.
So I created The Prima Club — a brand and a community — to celebrate dancers as they are.
A space where dancers of all backgrounds are seen, supported, and reminded that they belong.
Whether you’re training full-time, rediscovering your love for ballet in adulthood, or just embracing the aesthetic, this space is for you. You deserve to feel proud of where you are and what you wear.
Our designs are inspired by the studio, built for everyday life, and rooted in community.
Every collection is created with care — not just for how it looks, but how it feels: empowering, playful, and unapologetically you.
This is about reclaiming what it means to be a dancer — and remembering that, after all, it’s just ballet.
Welcome to The Prima Club. I’m so happy you’re here.
With love,
Camille
